Developed by the university faculty, the software can automatically convert content typed in any font into Unicode or Ravi. To help them out of this predicament, a professor of Punjabi University has now written a letter to the state government to help the candidates by adopting a new software. Many of the applicants had learnt typing in Joy, Asees, Sutlej, Anmol lipi, and other fonts. Concerned officials hinted that it could be conducted in October.
